OUR HISTORY
Why do we call it "The Dairy?
We call the cabin the "Dairy" in honor of our Swedish Grandfather, William C. Tell - who made his living through a dairy in California.
The Tell Dairy was always a wonderful place to visit. Riding on the tractors, watching the milking machines, feeding the cows and calves, and playing in the almond orchard were big treats. But more important was the family time, the reunions, the laughs and the jokes. Morfar (which means mother's father in Swedish) died in 1993.
During the memorial weekend celebration, all of his grandchildren crafted a dream that we wanted to share a family home someday that celebrated Morfar's love of family; a place that we could come to and where we could share time together. We named it the "Dairy" and fictitiously described it as a log home, near mountains, a lake, skiing, golf, hiking and it had to be less than 2 hours from a major airport so we could all get there easily.
We consider the Dairy a dream come true!
